God's Times & Seasons by Andy from Shoresh Ministries
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 (NKJV)

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;”.

At first glance, the writer of Ecclesiastes seems to be having a downer! Everything is pointless. The writer nevertheless has communion with God. We to, don't live life on our feelings but in communion with God. God has mapped out time. Time for us; for the nations & indeed for the universe. God is a God of precision & order.

Andy went on to give us a variety of examples from mathematics to support this idea of God’s precision.
1 x 8 +1 = 9
12 x 8 +2 = 98
123 x 8 +3 = 987
1234 x 8 +4 = 9876

and
1 x 9 +2 = 11
12 x 9 +3 = 111
123 x 9 +4 = 1111
1234x 9 +5= 11111

and
1 x 1 = 1
11 x 11 = 121
111 x 111 = 12321
1111 x 1111= 1234321

He put the stars in their place and they are sustained by His hand (Gen 1:17). They are not sustained by chaos. But the same God who sustains the universe knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7). He is precise. You are no accident. Andy said “I'm adopted.” Am I therefore an accident? No! Was Moses? Was Yeshua? You're here for a reason. The fun is finding out for what. Otherwise, why not just go to heaven.

Daniel 9:25. “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again even in troublesome times.” (NKJV)

This was written several hundred years before Christ. 7 7’s (49) and 62x7’s (434). The weeks are understood as weeks of years, in similar vein to the Hebrew Feast of Weeks. The years consist of 360 day years, used in the Jewish calendar.

The decree to rebuild Jerusalem was given by Artaxerxes in Nissan 445 B.C. 49 years later, the seven sevens, in 396B.C. Ezra and Nehemiah held the covenant renewal celebration in Jerusalem. Jesus’s crucifixtion fell after the completion of the following sixty-two sevens, or 434 years being 32 A.D.
Yeshua therefore, has to be the Messiah from Daniels’ prophecy. God, rules over history. We are irrational. Can u think when we or others have been irrational. We're described as sheep. But sheep can do some daft things. Some of the old translations of the bible have blessings for church & punishments for Israel.

“We are irrational” examples phrases:
Oxymora. Minor catastrophe! Found missing. Almost exactly. Everything except. Genuine replica. Government organisation.

God doesn't pick & mix. All of the bible, represents the whole word of God. Ex 20:1-17. Some feel Old testament is too Jewish. The Sabbath precedes the people of God. The Sabbath was and is a Saturday. These are the Lord's appointed feasts of Lev 23:4:
The Sabbath;
The Paasover and Unleavened Bread;
The Feast of Firstfruits;
The Feast of Weeks;
The Feast of Trumpets;
The Day of Atonement;
The Feast of Tabernacles.

When you are “born again”, you are grafted into Israel. You are part of this same commonwealth of Israel. Jesus can be seen in the Feasts. Passover (Pesach) for the crucifixtion; Unleavened Bread for the burial; Firstfruits for the resurrection of Yeshua; fifty days after the resurrection we have Penetcost at the Feast of Weeks (Shavu’ot). Andy said they had recently unearthed 40 baths for baptism at south end of temple. There the follows 3.5 months period until Yom Teruah (or Rosh Hosannah) and the Feast of Trumpets.

Andy went on to discuss the different process involved in marriage in the near east, compared with our understanding and practice in the West. After the Betrothal the wealthy would leave a helper with his bride to prepare herself. The sense of this being “Do you know how much I love you?” But also, a sense of let us get busy sending out the wedding invitations. As believers we have the Holy Spirit as our helper, left behing by Jesus until he returns at the ingathering. Next we have Yom kippurim, the plural of Kippur, or the day of atonements. Now on Yom Kippur we don't need to a repeat as Yeshua has fulfilled this. Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, finishes the series of seven Feasts, with the ingathering.

Andy feels confident that Arabs & Muslims will meet with revival because both Jews & Muslims now live in Jerusalem. He likens the impact of revival to that of a stone falling into a pond. Where the stone drops the ripple is greatest. Referring back to Sukkot, (the Feast of Tabernacles, it climaxes with Hosannah Rabbah, or Great Hosanna. This is when all seven prayers are sung on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. We are clearly in changing times. We are the “one new man” of Eph 2:15. Yeshua, came and challenged the view that you were born into your salvation. In 1967 there was growth in messianic Jewish voice within Israel. On 28th January 2006, an estimated 300,000 attended the funeral of Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri. He left a note to be opened a year after his death. In the note was the word Yehoshua, when the first letter of each word was taken. Yehoshua is used interchangeably with the Hebrew word Yeshua. Rabbi Kaduri’s was declaring that Jesus was the Messiah, which caused no small controversy.

Our role, as believers, is to blow the trumpet and let people know who the Messiah is. Yom Teruah, or Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah (Lev 23:23-25) we should shout with relish, a “teruah gedolah” or mighty shout. This is the same as was used to bring down the walls of Jericho (Josh 6:5). At the sound of the shofar, the entire nation will shout (literal teruah gedolah). We should call “Now Lord, please Lord God.” Andy said, remember 2 Chron 20:15 “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.” This passage shows us when the people of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir came to make war on Jehoshaphat, even though the people of Israel had turned back from attacking these same peoples, when they came up out of Egypt. We should, as the people of Israel then did, praise God with a loud shout. Wake up! The battle is on. 1 Thes 4:16-17 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” Andy concludes that the current season can be summarised by 2 Chron 7:14: “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
